New website graphics! Woo!

Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t–There are some new graphics lining the pages of George-Comics.com. I’ve designed a new header logo that incorporates George’s face, which is an idea Bengo over at lilnyet.com suggested. I like the way it looks, too. Plus, I re-drew the characters chilling up there at the top of the page and gave the website a new background. Also, if you head on over to the Cast page, you’ll see that there are new graphics for all the characters, too. I’m toying with the idea of a whole site redesign since it’s been a whole year since I switched over to this one, but I’m taking it one step at a time. Patience, young padowans. Look on the bright side–I live in California and I may lose my job soon, which would mean I’d have nothing but time to crank out a new site design.

That’s what happens when you have zero patience

I know just like, two days ago I was saying that I was thinking about redesigning the site, but honestly, I have the patience of a mayfly. That’s why yesterday afternoon, I launched this new version of George-Comics.com, running what are currently the most recent versions of WordPress and ComicPress, respectively. The biggest changes are the fact that the site is a lot bigger now, and that–to fill the newfound space–the comic is also a lot wider, and there’s a new column running down the left side of the site. Also, I fixed a problem that has been bugging me for an entire year now–the comic navigation buttons are now located directly beneath the day’s comic, instead of further down the page where they used to be. Drop me a line or a comment and let me know what you think–there are some minor changes I still want to make, but overall I’m happy with how it looks. Obviously. Otherwise, this post would have been titled, “I Failed Miserably, Nothing to See Here, Move Along.”
