I hear you. I think that pop music in general has always been pretty mediocre and lacking in innovation, while just below the surface the real creative types were the ones really making musical strides. I mean, thirty years ago the music scene was inundated with disco, but there were lots of great rock bands who are still making huge money and selling out arenas. In a few years nobody will remember Lady Gaga, but presently-less-popular bands will go on to endure!

Today's music stars really trip me out. I wonder if this is what our parents thought of what we were listening to and how innovative we thought it to be. I just shake my head in pity at my kids when they go crazy over mediocre tunes.
