To Be Fair, It’s a Small Car

It’s one of those cars that’s real low to the ground, so it’s kind of a struggle to get in and out; also, the seatbelt barely reaches. My mom’s car is actually exactly like that. Very comfortable once you get in, but as difficult to get into as MENSA.

  • I'd probably be dragging the car with me as I tried to get out. Especially if it's a Festiva or something. :)
  • No Smart Cars in your future, eh George?
  • I'm very fortunate to work at a university with a nice gym; it's not free but I get to use it for a very low monthly fee. No yearly fees, no cancellation fees, just pay up once a month, go in, and sweat. If I get laid off I'm going to have a very difficult time finding and going to a real gym!
  • I should tell you my gym story.

They had like a '1 free day' thing in the news paper (24-hr gym place, what they didn't say clearly was the times this was available. I was there at 3am with my buddies, who both already had memberships, and were there every morning, they wouldn't let me farther in than the front door cuz the right person wasn't on staff apparently to let in new customers. Apparently he's only there during the day?

First and last time I've been in a real gym.
  • I haven't been the the gym in 5 months. This comic is not helping... :P
  • I just went to a gym to find out their advertised membership rate of $19.99 a month. You had to pay $250 up front and that rate was only good for 4 days a week. I said oK...can I pick the days? nadda
  • Yes, my mom's car is a Corvette! And my dad used to have one that I drove around, as well. I'd say the interior of it had fewer cubic inches than a tuna can.
  • That's why I'm not a huge Corvette fan. Fun cars once you're on the road - but getting in and out - forget about it!
