It absolutely crept up on me. I forgot about it until almost week after the fact: This past Friday, George comic #500 was officially unleashed upon the unknowing, innocent denizens of the world. I’d like to start by thanking the Academy. I remember back when I first started the strip, I tried getting it in to Wikipedia, only to be denied because they had some kind of arbitrary “rule” about needing an archive of 500 comics to be eligible for a Wikipedia entry. Since then I’ve been able to sneak in a Wikipedia article on George, but only now do I feel that it’s….legal.

Thanks to all of my readers, old and new. If you ever find yourself…incredibly bored one day, go back and read the 500 strips in the archive for fun and profit.
