Return of the re-make! I like this old version of the comic a lot. The artwork actually isn’t half bad, and I like George’s cowboy hat. Oh, and Dave’s tassles. Apparently he is also a pro wrestler here.

There’s Dave’s old dog, Farlie, who only appeared in two strips. I couldn’t find the other one, but rest assured, this one is the better of the two.

This comic was part of a storyline where George, Dave and Bill were going to fly to the Grand Canyon. It never got finished, unfortunately. Until fairly recently, I couldn’t stand doing story arcs; it got so boring after a while. Now, though, I’m in the middle of a story arc that is going to be about two months long!

Dave’s Volkswagen Bus makes its first appearance here, although here it was called a “Wolks Vagon,” because I was fearful of the iron German legal fist that would be lowered up on me if I used the real name.

It was around this time that I finally took a leave of absence from doing George comics. I remember making this comic, however…I made it entirely during U.S. History class. A span of about 40 minutes. Man, I wish I could still do that today…Each new George comic you see usually takes around five hours, at least.
