This strip has a heavy Garfield influence, unfortunately. I mean, if you replaced Dave with Jon and George with Garfield, you’d have every single Garfield strip for the past thirty years.

Dave used to own a really ugly dog, and a monkey. Currently, he owns a smug little bird named Tasslehoff. He’s like a long-haired hippie zookeeper.

I tried doing the lettering on this comic with a thick permanent marker, and the result is a comic that looks like someone erased the original text and dubbed in something new. Anyway, the mental image of Dave mowing his carpet eases forth a slight chuckle from my massive barrel of a chest.

Return of the six-panel George! This one was fun to draw; also, it features a man flying uncontrollably through the air, backwards, while screaming. That, my friends, makes it a winner.
