These comics were, to the best of my recollection, all made sometime in early 2001. To me, they represent the turning point from the old comics I’d made in 1999 to the current direction the comic ended up taking.

This is the very first comic I re-made for the current website. And you’ll notice, it’s in color! By this time, I had discovered Paint Shop Pro, although I wasn’t very good at it. You’ll also notice that Rob was a little chunkier and had much darker hair. He joined Weight Watchers and highlighted his hair in 2003.

Enter Greg! And seriously, don’t call them nerds. That’s just an insult. They are geeks.

I re-made this strip last year because I liked it so much. However, I greatly improved upon the original, I feel. My artwork was definitely getting better here, but it was definitely a far cry from where I am today. Stay in school, kids…stay in school and endlessly draw in your notebooks so your teachers start to hate you.

Again, I like to think that George was out with Amanda here. I was still really bad at drawing girls, so I…decided not to include them yet. Yeah, sometimes I’d rather play with a digital camera than go on a date.

Here’s another one that I re-made. I barely changed it, but what changes I did do made it a lot better.

Yeah! Cheech & Chong! …Yeah, if you like Cheech & Chong you’ll totally get this comic. If not, I’m sorry.

I used to like to play basketball with the rim put down pretty much to eye level. Sometimes I’d hurt myself.

Nobody downloads random batches of songs from the Internet anymore! They just download full albums. What a glorious age we live in. Anyway, I love this comic and I’d also love to re-make it, but I’m just not entirely sure yet how to update it for the times. You know, the times where the RIAA will sue your butt red even for thinking about downloading music.

I used this comic as the first George comic in this site’s main archive for over three years. I did that because I am an incredibly impatient person, and I originally designed this site without any comics in my archive. Therefore, to grease the wheels a bit, this strip debuted as the site’s very first official George comic. As the months and eventually years went on, I regretted this decision severely, as this comic looks bad even by 2005’s standards. Finally, however, I have relegated it to Museum status, where it belongs, undoubtedly the most famous of all George comics from 2001.
