Conclusion! Sweet, sweet conclusion. Much the way I had a rough day the first time I went golfing, it definitely spurred on my interest in golf, which had all but dried up years ago. I’m going golfing again this weekend, as a matter of fact. Art imitates life, in this case.

This is one of those comics where I thought of the punchline as I was drawing the comic. I just took one look at George’s freshly-drawn expression and went, “Yup. He just conked a squirrel.”

If I had room for it, I’d probably put another “rimshot” panel at the end of this one. My friend Sharon thought this joke was funny, and so did I, so if you don’t? You’re a communist. Also, after doing a little research, I can safely say that women’s golf uniforms are surprisingly hot.

I miss the ball so many times, I’m usually fairly surprised when I actually hit it, and I’m very surprised when I hit it more than about 50 yards. Do all golfers do this when they start out? Because I’m getting really tired of fanning the gallery.
