My intention here in the first two panels was to paint the scene as though George was talking to either a religious figure, like a priest, or a mafia figure like the Godfather. Obviously, he was talking to neither. Unless Megan is a far shadier character than we all realize.

I tried to think of the most bizarre thing I could imagine happening to Walt that didn’t involve him being without pants. And then I said, you know what? Sometime’s a man’s just gotta have no pants.

“Less money than a city mouse with a cheese habit” is a line I made up that was supposed to sound like some idiom people would use in the 50’s. It doesn’t really make literal sense, but it has a certain ring to it that I liked.

So, all good things must come to an end. I really loved this storyline, I loved the ups and downs, I loved the zigs and zags in it–zigs and zags that were mainly there because I really didn’t know where the story was going to wind up. I love that I got a lot of characters involved in it, I love that Chain-link finally got some much-needed airplay…Chain-link has almost gone mainstream now!
